Donald Harris

Donald L. Harris, 77, of Westmoreland, Kansas passed away on Sunday evening, August 18, 2013 at the Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. He was born June 4, 1936 at Mountain Lake Village in Cottonwood County, Minnesota.
Donald has been a member of the IBEW Local #226 since 1961. He did lots of camping and hunting. He fished in his younger days in Iowa, where he grew up in the Lake Okoboji and Spirit Lake area where his grandparents had a cabin. Don enjoyed living history. Don was a collector of lots of stuff.
Preceding him in death are his parents and one brother, Edwin.
Mr. Harris was married to Nancy A. Horne on January 8, 1971 in Topeka. Nancy survives at their home in Westmoreland. Other survivors include his children, Annette Harris, Joe Harris, Dwight Harris and Beverly Harris Figge; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and his twin sister, Dorothy L. Hewitt.
