Margaret Louise Peterson

Margaret Louise Jacques Peterson passed away peacefully July 20, 2013. She was born September 8, 1927 in Topeka, KS. A graduate of Seaman High School, she married Donald James Peterson April 20, 1947 and moved to Texas shortly thereafter. She and her husband returned to Topeka in 1991. An avid gardener, Margaret was a member of Seaman Congregational Church, was active in local politics, and loved playing cards with family and friends and spending time with her beloved cats. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald J. Peterson of Topeka, daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Rich Poling of Dallas, brother Lloyd Marion Jacques and sisters Sally May Myer of Topeka, Elizabeth Ann Bennett of Ridgecrest, CA, and Judy Jacques-Norris of Paola, KS, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial gathering will be Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cat Association of Topeka, www.topekacat.org.
