Harold Lee Adkins Scranton KS was born September 18, 1943 in Topeka KS to Freda Alice (Lange) and Charles Edward Adkins
Survived by one son Harold Dean Adkins of Osage City KS, and two sisters’ Rose (Larry) Wilson, Clarksville TN and Janice (Carl) Ackerman, Amarillo TX. Leaving grandchildren: Rachelle Souders, Dawn Adkins, Garrett Adkins and Great-Grandchildren: Damon, Devin, Alaya Souders. Along with nieces and nephews: Jim, Vesta Mae, Jennifer, Sherri, Marlene, Susie, Charleen, Larry, Donna Kay, Dawnita, Ron, Charles, Kathy, Julie, Jennifer and sister-in law’s Mary Adkins, Norma Kay Adkins and Ruby Lolley. Proceeded in death by his parents, one sister and six brothers.
Harold was a self employed carpet and tile man. He was also employed thru the Local Floor layers Union. In his spare time he loved to fish, hunt, camp and golf while spending time with friends and family. He has lived in the Topeka and surrounding area his whole life. He was a Legend at the Topeka Racing Association. Harold Served in the US Army and the Army Reserves.
In lieu of flowers make donation to the Davidson Funeral home to cover the cost of the funeral as he had no life insurance. Memorial visitation will be Friday from 1-2:30 at Davidson Funeral Home with military honors being held at 2. A friends and family pot luck dinner gathering will be held at a unspecified location after the services.
