Linda Watkins

Linda L. Watkins, 55, of Mayetta, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Midland Hospice in Topeka. She was born July 4, 1958 at Holton the daughter of Gary and Barbara McBroom Fairfield. She was raised at Holton and graduated from Holton High School in 1976. She attended LPN school in Topeka. She had worked at KNI, Capper Foundation, Stormont-Vail and at Dr. Powell’s office. She was an avid race fan, mainly at Thunder Hill but also went to races in Topeka and Atchison.
She is survived by her sons, Joel Fairfield of Topeka and Michael Watkins of Mayetta; many cousins, including Betty Lutz of Mayetta and special friend, Lester Arnold of Mayetta who took her to the races.
Cremation is planned. Linda’s ashes will be buried on a later date at the catholic cemetery in Holton. Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka is assisting the family.
