Elizabeth Trimble, 87, of Topeka passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was born December 21, 1925 at Ozawkie, Kansas the daughter of Ivan and Susan Yenkey Beeler. Elizabeth worked at the State Bank of Meriden, Meriden Public Schools, and the Kansas State Historical Society. Mrs. Trimble was a Rock Creek 4-H project leader; she was a 60-year member of Mt. Pleasant Grange, the Meriden United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. She was currently a member of First United Methodist Church in Topeka.
Elizabeth married Fred Trimble in 1948. Fred precedes her in death, also preceding her are her parents, two sisters, Virginia Camblin and Margaret Self and a brother, Robert Beeler.
Survivors include two sons Corbin Trimble of Prairie Village, KS and Dean and Carolyn Trimble of Topeka; two grandsons, David Trimble (Topeka) and Zachary Trimble (Broomfield, CO).
Elizabeth chose to donate her body to the University of Kansas Medical School. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Meriden United Methodist Church in Meriden. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am Saturday morning prior to the service at the church. Following medical research, Mrs. Trimble’s cremains will be buried with her husband at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Oskaloosa. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, Kansas Historical Society, Kansas Public Radio or to the Topeka Rescue Mission all sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66608.
