Carl K. Johnson

Carl K. Johnson, 77, of Auburn, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, June 1, 2013. He was born December 20, 1935 in Morgantown, Kentucky the son of Casey and Ruby (Painter) Johnson. Carl was a driver for Dolly Madison before retiring in 2000. After retirement he drove a school bus for USD 437. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Topeka. Carl enjoyed belonging to the Topeka Touring Society and loved riding motorcycles and restoring old tractors.
Carl and Carol were married on July 4, 1978 at Christ Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Carol Johnson; children, Monica K. Wright (Robert), Carl K. Johnson, Jr. (Stephanie); step-children, Rebecca McDermot (John), William Theel and Randall Theel (Catherine); two brothers; three sisters; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Roosevelt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, June 4th at Christ Lutheran Church in Topeka. Interment will follow at Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Monday evening at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice or to Christ Lutheran Church in care of the funeral Home.
