Clarence Brown

Clarence O. Brown, age 88, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in Topeka. Clarence was born October 23, 1924 in Topeka the son of John Brown and Sarah Fouraker Brown. Clarence was co-owner of Brown Excavation in Topeka, retiring in 1986. He married Lois Ray June 7, 1945, she preceded him in death November 20, 2000. He married Anna Marie Porubsky October 20, 2001, she preceded him in death February 16, 2007. Clarence was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #555, and attended the Elmont United Methodist Church. Clarence was preceded in death by a step great granddaughter, Cali Nichole Savard. He is survived by two sons, Clarence Brown and Lewis Brown, both of Topeka; a daughter, Bonnie Jean Norman of Topeka; five step daughters, Marilyn Reedy of Kansas City, KS, Linda Kisner of Topeka, Sandy Maust of Meacham, Oregon, Georgia Mentzer of Topeka and Kathi Flowers of Topeka; a companion, Dorothy Jones of Topeka; 3 grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren; one great granddaughter and 9 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. He will lie in state Monday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Mayetta Cemetery.
