Dorothy A. Wright

Dorothy A. Wright 90, Topeka, passed away on May 8, 2013 at Midland Hospice. Mrs. Wright was born October 11, 1922 in Onaga, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Minnie Witham. She graduated from Onaga High School and was married to Norman Wright on October 18, 1941 in Topeka. He preceded her in death. Dorothy worked as switchboard operator at BCBS of Kansas for twenty years; she was a fantastic cook, crocheted beautiful afghans and doilies, and spent many loving hours rocking her grandbabies. She is survived by Norman Robert Wright, Jr. (Judy), Jerome, Idaho; Dennis Wright (Carol), Longmont, Colorado, and Craig Wright (Linda), Topeka; six grandchildren (Jolene, Brent, Brad, Eric, Dana & Austin), eleven great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Leona Wright of St. Marys, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wright was cremated and will be inurned Friday, June 21 at 2 PM at the Wamego Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at Davidson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22 at 1 PM.
