James Herbert Quaife

James “Herb” Quaife, age 83, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013. He was born in Denver, Colorado, the son of Herbert and Iva (Davis) Quaife. Herb was raised in Topeka and Netawaka. He joined the United States Navy in 1950 where he faithfully served his country. He married Norma (Shreeve) Quaife in 1952 in Seattle. Herb went to work at DuPont in 1958 and retired in 1992. He was a member of American Legion Post 400. Survivors include his wife Norma, children Patti (Bill) Beasley, Jim Quaife, Sherry (Donnie) Coffield, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a brother, Charles E. Quaife of Long Beach California, and a sister, Mildred Catham of Arizona.
Graveside services and military honors will be at 11 am on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Netawaka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House, and sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home.
