Kirk William Miller Sr., 64, of Topeka, passed away on April 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 23, 1959 to Joseph and Dorothy (Glasgow) Miller at Topeka, Kansas.

Kirk graduated from Silver Lake High School and went right into working for the Pipefitters Union as a Pipefitter and Business Agent for the Local Pipefitters Union 441.

Kirk was a man with many trades. Apart from his dedication to the Pipefitters Union, he was a faithful member of AA. He spent many years as a sponsor helping people through difficult times Kirk was also a member of the First Congregational Church in Topeka. He will always be remembered as a family man first. Kirk was dedicated in his parent’s lives, assisting with the family farm and his own farm’s upkeep. He always supported his children, never missing a game or event. Him and his son, Kirk Jr., also started their own firework business called 2 Kirk’s Fireworks. They began their journey together and became so large, their events included pyrotechnic shows for NASCAR, Tech Nine concerts, Charlie Daniels Band, Fort Riley, and many small and large city shows. Kirk was a very social man, he did not know a stranger. He was also extremely involved in local politics. Kirk was an active grandfather, and loved his trips to pick up Gray after school. It was the best part of his day.

Kirk is survived by his children, Kirk (Jennifer) Miller, Jr. and Rebecca "Becky" Miller; siblings, Joseph "Jay" (Kelly) Miller Jr., and Paula Tubbs; grandchildren, Lillee Kessler, Gray Miller, McKenzy Miller, Austin Kessler, Jax Miller, Sway Miller, and McConaughey Miller.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennie J. Jones; and both of his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Parker Price Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 10:00 am at the First Congregational Church, 1701 SW Collins Ave, Topeka, KS 66604.
Graveside Service will follow in the Rochester Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church and sent in care of Parker Price Funeral Home.
